New Seasons.

This is the view outside my office door right now. Not zoomed — as in, not untouchably far away. I mean these gals are about 50 feet from me as I type this. At 6:30 on a Friday.

I’m sitting here trying to force my brain to focus on my screen and wrap up a rush request when what I really want to do is sit in the grass, stare at these deer, and maybe check my beehives. I’ve got to find some balance… so here we go!

After 30 years of building a business, raising a family, juggling deadlines, and putting everyone else first — it’s time for a shift. I’ve loved being part of every business, dream, event, and idea I’ve had the honor to bring to life. But as anyone who’s ever run a creative business knows, it’s a 24/7 commitment.

And for 30 years, I’ve been committed — I’ve given it my all (and then some). It’s been rewarding, and I wouldn’t trade the experience or the relationships for anything. But it’s also come at a cost — to my health, my free time, and most importantly, to time with my family. So I’m entering a new season — one where I’m finally giving myself permission to rebalance.

Starting now, I’ll be limiting my office hours to Tuesday through Thursday, and focusing my Mondays and Fridays on our farm and apiary — restoring the grove, building soil and planting seeds, tending the bees, and getting my hands dirty (on purpose!). I’m also stepping back into creating art without a computer — the kind of creative work that feeds my soul and doesn’t require a screen or a deadline.

Moving forward, I’ll also be limiting my client base to longtime clients who know and trust my process — and to a small number of new clients who are committed to working together and understand the value of thoughtful, professional, created-by-humans design. It just feels like the right time to pare things down.

This doesn’t mean I’m disappearing — just recalibrating. I’m still here, and I’m still excited to continue providing excellence in marketing and design. It just means I’ll be more intentional about where I pour my energy. If you’d like to book time with me, you can do that anytime using my Calendly link.

And if you want a peek at my life outside Whispering Dog, feel free to follow the farm at @thegrovedz, the pup life at @zdiggitydogs, or farrier fun at @diamondzhorse. Maybe now that I’m giving myself the freedom to spend focused time away from the office, I’ll actually be able to update our social feeds a little more often!

Thanks for understanding — and for being part of my journey.
